WHO WE ARE

Wholly-owned and managed by Just English Sdn Bhd, Just English Magazine and Just English Magazine Website serve as the company's extended contribution to the education of English in particular. First published in December 2003, Just English Magazine features a graded reading approach to develop students’ reading skills. In the process, readers develop the confidence and fluency to read a magazine that offers a wide range of topics.

Launched in January 2004, Just English Magazine Website is a supplementary resource portal of its associated print version: Just English Magazine. The website, especially beneficial to both students and teachers, also provides its readers with a variety of interactive and supportive materials to enhance their learning of the English language.



FEATURES OF JUST ENGLISH ONLINE

Website features include an exclusive section for teachers, which is inaccessible to students. This section allows teachers to extract selected articles from the magazine, as well as upload and download lesson plans for classroom use. They can also complement their exercises with teacher’s notes, or participate in 'Teacher's Forum', an additional resource link and exchange platform for teachers to share and relate to one another.

 

Learning English is both fun and practical. In addition to reading, students can experiment with the edutainment activities available in such games as (crossword puzzle and word search), jokes and idioms. Plus, downloadable audios of selected articles provide extra avenues for users to familiarise themselves with correct pronunciation of English. Users will also find extra functions such as RSS and Podcast facilitators for downloading media files.

 

In addition, a pronunciation guided section entitled 'Say It Right' assists users on hard-to-pronounce words such as "provocative" and "saltpetre". There's also a user's 'Forum' that highlights certain topics that is open to all to participate and discuss.
